Ostade Preview - Mission Accomplished.

The Long Awaited Preview of Mr Magic was on Thursday and went well - the public had fun and I gained good insight into what still needs to be added and taken away. It was an insane push for the line in the end, and once again demonstrated that our limits of endurance are further than we expect. Pushing those limits does come at a price though, and since Thursday night I've only really left the comfort of my bed when absolutely necessary. A couple more daze of rest and recreation before I do the rest of the re-creation.

Massive thanks to all of you that came down to witness the birth of the new show. After months of performing into the vacuum of an empty studio it was a thrill to feel the energy coming back from a real live audience. Thanks to Klaus Jurgens and Duda de Paiva for their invaluable advise, Markus Schnizer for the fabulous light design and Ron Bunzl for last minute prop-support. Special thanks to Kristina Schroeder for all her support and patience over the last months - it wasn't easy and I certainly wouldn't have put up with my over-stressed diva antics as well as she did.

The dates of the premiere proper are now 24, 25 and 26 of February, in the Bellevue Therater, Amsterdam. In the mean time here's a couple of pix from the Ostade gig taken by Carla Kogelman.

A reminder of dates and a threat of more sophisticated publicity material to follow shortly. A cunning marketing strategy culminating in the production and distribution of colour posters is in place and nearing fruition. Yes, full colour posters - we're not fucking about here.

The long anticipated preview and premiere of Mr Magic are rapidly approaching. If you only fancy coming once in Amsterdam, then I would suggest you attend the premiere in the Bellevue Theater on 26, 27 and 28 Feb. 2009. If on the other hand you would like to witness The Greatest Puppet Magic Show The World Has Ever Seen in a raw(ish) form, and then fully pimped and polished, come to the preview in the Ostade Theater - Ostadestr. De Pijp - on the 20th November, and then the Bellevue show too. Sorted.
