Whore.

I have officially started work on the eagerly anticipated new show, Whore. This will be my first foray into table puppetry (which as the name suggests is puppets on a table on stage, me sat behind it) and is a peek into the life of prostitute Fifi La Bouche and her clients.

The process has just begun, so I'm busy drafting blurbs for subsidy requests, experimenting with making puppets of a scale suitable for the table-puppetry format and casting around for a producer.

I've uploaded a sneak preview of a puppet that (I hope) is the right size for this show. Not sure what character he is yet, or if he will even make it into the show. His provisional name is Fred. He might be a melancholy policeman. Or not.

STAN in Doetinchem, 12th March.

Due to the complexities of my website, and the relative dis/ease of updating it as compared to this blog, details about upcoming shows will continue to appear here.

Speaking of which, STAN will once more tread the boards of a Dutch theatre, this time in Doetinchen, Friday 12th of March. Not yet sure which of the fine theatres of Doetinchen we'll be performing in, so for all the Gelderland Massive - watch this space.
